General presentation

Droits FFE DR

FITE continues to work towards the recognition of professional qualifications of equestrian tourism in the international structure with expertise in training: IGEQ (International Group for Equestrian Qualifications).

Following the general assembly IGEQ in Saumur (France) in 2009, where the decision to study key skills, three skill levels, has been validated, a working group met on November 17 at Roissy (France) - (Charles de Gaulle airport). All member federations IGEQ had previously received a working paper produced in collaboration with France and South Africa on these elements, documents transmitted to the FITE for circularization to its members for comments or any additional proposals.

The meeting of 17 November, attended by 15 representatives and where the President of the FITE was present, made some changes or additions.

The work has been presented and distributed at the general meeting of IGEQ in Warendorf (Germany) on 20 November. He has been on this occasion, a proof of concept of all members present.

Gerlinde Hoffmann, Vice-President, attended the general assembly IGEQ and could speak on behalf of FITE and voice its position on the issue.

This document must now move from the working group which met in
Warendorf for a formal validation of the participants are involved with and will be officially endorsed by the next Executive Committee IGEQ, to be held in February 2011.
Following this validation, each member federation of the IGEQ wishing to identify national equestrian tourism qualifications issued by it or any part or recognized in the grid at three levels, when it is posted on the site the IGEQ and reported in future editions of the passport including a specific section
devoted to the skills and qualifications of equestrian tourism, will be able to validate the level of qualification held.

Once that recognition is granted, steps will be taken from the EU for the courses concerned are listed and referenced professionally in Europe.

(*) The equivalence convention, signed under the aegis of FITE, NETO by Belgium, Canada, France, Great Britain, Italy, Switzerland, despite having been an official at the updating international seminar organized Chalain (France) June 12, 2002 - co-signed by the resolution NETO stakeholders, published the same day by FITE - will require, in time, revalidation of the respective powers defined by the above.
