General Assembly : Hervé Delambre hands over to Frédéric Bouix

Upon the open European Championship of TREC Young Riders in Eersel (Netherlands), the General Assembly of the International Federation of Equestrian Tourism (FITE) met on September 7th 2015 many representatives from National Equestrian Tourism Organization (NETO), among the 22 members countries.

After 24 years in FITE’s service as Secretary-General and then President, and as he had announced for a long time, Hervé Delambre did not want to succeed himself, preferring to prepare the accession to the presidency from the one he considered "the fittest to take over ».

In this way, he presented and supported, with all the members of the Bureau, the application of Frédéric Bouix who was comfortably elected.

Currently Secretary-General of the French Equestrian Federation (FFE) since 2012, he was previously during nearly 9 years Director of the French NETO, National Committee of equestrian tourism. Frédéric Bouix becomes the 4th president of FITE ; since 1975, Jacques Gendry, Vittorio de Sanctis and Hervé Delambre have succeeded to this position.

At the end of his election, Frédéric Bouix wished to appoint Hervé Delambre, Honorary President and President Delegate of FITE. He also announced the creation of a « European Union Committee », due to different European public policies applicable to horse and horse riding. The ambition of the FITE naturally aims for develop equestrian outdoor activities, especially in the tourist dimension, without forget sport component, including TREC and Working Equitation.

The mandate of the Secretary-General, Frédéric Pierrestiger (Canada) has also extended during this election, just as the Belgian Olivier Teirljinck, member of the bureau.

Serge Lecomte, President of FFE, warmly thanked Hervé Delambre for his unwavering commitment and efficient action in horse riding over these two decades of international functions. « I also wish success for Frederic Bouix and assure him of the full support of our Federation".

The legendary three days, three nights Raid Centaure POR will take place this year in Llagostera, Spain, from February 8th to 10th. All information at links below.

EuroWorld championship of TREC  

The TREC EuroWorld Championships took place on the 30 August to the 1st September 2018 in Bracciano, Italy.

This event gathered 90 riders from 18 nations. Two countries were represented off competition, China and Russia.

European Championships of Working Equitation

The European Championships of Working Equitation took place in Eersel, Netherland from 23 to 26 August 2018. 

Four nations were represented in seniors and young riders levels for a total close to 40 riders in competition.
