The European Countryside Movement (Mouvement Européen de la Ruralité - M.E.R.) met with his partners on 4 April in Brussels.

On the agenda :

- Public consultation on the future of the CAP and White Paper on the future of Europe.

- Call for a European Rural Agenda and a White paper on rurality (updating of the supports to the call and follow-up, in particular with European parliamentary RUMRA “Rural, mountainous and remote areas” Intergroup, chaired by Mercedes Bresso, European Deputy.

- Conference “Rural post 2020 : more ambition, more transversality !” on 4 May 2017-Reminder of the cooperation between R.E.D. and the NAT Commission of the European Committee of the Regions.

- Civil Society Days – 26-27 June 2017 “The Europe we insist on”.

- Congress « Sustainable rural development through tourism » - Bergamo, Report from the conference of 16-17 February.

- Activities of the partners and interaction with the E.C.M, Equirando from 21 to 23 July 2017 in Bourg-en-Bresse, France, for Equestrian Tourism and FITE, and Nature and Sports Euro’Meet in La Seu de Urgell, Spain, from 27 to 29 September for ENOS.

Centaure 2019

The legendary three days, three nights Raid Centaure POR will take place this year in Llagostera, Spain, from February 8th to 10th. All information at links below.

EuroWorld championship of TREC  

The TREC EuroWorld Championships took place on the 30 August to the 1st September 2018 in Bracciano, Italy.

This event gathered 90 riders from 18 nations. Two countries were represented off competition, China and Russia.

European Championships of Working Equitation

The European Championships of Working Equitation took place in Eersel, Netherland from 23 to 26 August 2018. 

Four nations were represented in seniors and young riders levels for a total close to 40 riders in competition.
