Morocco develop the breed Barb horse for equestrian tourism

On the 8th and 9th, December took place the National Days of Barb horse. 

These two days were organised by the National Association of Barb Horses, chaired by Mr. Younes JARI, in partnership with the Royal Society of Horse Encouragement, chaired by Mr. Omar SKALI and the Moroccan National Association of Equestrian Tourism, chaired by Mr. Mohammed EL YASSINI. 

They were held at Bouznika National Stud, managed by DR. Malak BEN AMAR in the presence of Mr. Samir YAZIdI, Governor and Mr. Omar KHATIB, Vice-President of the Moroccan Royal Federation of Equestrian Sports. 

At this initiative were invited : 

- Professor Abdelhak BEN YOUNES, General Director of the National Foundation for the Improvement of Horse Breed in Tunisia

- Didier RIVIERE, breeder and trainer of endurance horses in France

- Thierry MAUROUARD, coach of TREC French teams and FITE Technical Delegate 

- Professor Youssef HARTI, a specialist in equine nutrition. 

The theme of the first day of the meeting was the diversification of uses of barb horse. The roundtables and various exchanges were focused on Endurance, TREC and Equestrian tourism also nutrition and other breeding topics. 

About 50 breeders, veterinarians, and stud directors were presents. 

On Sunday, the ANMTE organised a rally reserved for Barb horses. The POR allowed for 25 riders in 8 teams to discover TREC bases. 

In the afternoon, a course of 10 difficulties was made in place to introduce the PTV. 
Most of the riders practice Fantasia.

At the end of the day and under a bright sun, all participants awarded prices to end these two convivial days, rich in experience sharing and exchange of advice between passionate people of Barb horses.

From April 30th to May 4th, 2019, will hold an extraordinary equestrian rally in the desert of Agafay in the heart of the Moroccan High Atlas. This event is open to everyone. 500 riders for the 500 years of Chambord

The FITE is a partner of the 500 riders of Chambord, organised for the anniversary of the Renaissance. French Equestrian that we know today take its origins in this period of history. This event is an opportunity to celebrate the history of Chambord with a hiking and equestrian strolling. See you on June 29th and 30th, 2019!

The Equirando returns from August 1st to 4th, 2019 in the Haras de Breviaires in Yvelines. As in previous editions, the FITE is one of the main partners of the event.

The Eurasian

The FITE support the Eurasian project aims to connect in Grenoble to Vietnam. This project promotes soft traveling, develop equestrian routes in many countries, but also bring the need for equestrian cross-border agreements.
